This is Martin's Backpacker steel-string version. Loved by mountaineers who walk with their backpacks on their backs, this is the ultimate travel guitar that has fulfilled the dreams of many guitar fans who wanted to travel with their guitars. * The Backpacker does not have a built-in truss rod and the neck cannot be adjusted. Also, the saddle cannot be removed, so it is sold at the current string height. * Please be sure to use the extra light gauge (10-47) specified by the manufacturer. The guitar shows some signs of use (minor scratches on the body edges, slight sinking in the soundhole characteristic of backpackers, scuffs and scratches from playing, picking marks, fogging of metal parts and screws, and other exterior damage). The fretboard has been set up (cleaned and strings replaced) upon arrival, and the fret board is high enough to play.
