Description: Masterpieces of Greek Art by Raymond V. Schoder - NM 1960 1st Edition??? Funky Christmas / Everyday Funky These books etc. come from my father-in-law's estate. We have an entire weaving and yarn shop inventory to sell that was filled to the brim. This book was found in a locked glass bookcase in my father-in-law's yarn shop. Like new; almost perfect. The spine is unbroken. Dust jacket has normal wear and tear. Actual front and back cover have no damage. No marks or highlighting in text except for a signature in pencil on the front inside page. Cover lies flat. Some color photographs. Illustrated, collectible, 1st edition. We think. The dust jacket is remarkably intact but has obvious bends and the starting of tears, the worst being the tops of the spine. There was a spill on lower bottom rear cover, which does not effect the pages. Boards are a lovely light blue green linen and the pages are sharp and clean except for the normal aging which DOES NOT effect the pictures. Please see pictures. We are pretty sure this is a 1st Edition. You have to figure it out for sure. This book has no copyright page, and no other date. There is 60-8922 Library of Congress number, which no longer is valid. It also has one of those glued in pictures in the front of the book, which by the 60's, was very rarely done anymore. Also, unusual is the book is not paginated except for the the 1st 15 pages, and also not usually done anymore by the 1960's. So, searching the Library of Congress, we found 2 books for this title and author with the same title. The one in 1960 is 15 pages (???) long. The longer book was listed as a 2nd edition in 1965. So, where is the 1st edition as it is very unusual to go from pamphlet to full sized book. That glued in art piece in the beginning has us pretty darn sure this is a first edition. Your mileage may vary. Also, this book has a thick dust jacket and the pages are heavy and mostly glossy. This book is HEAVY and needs to move into a higher post office category to arrive safely.
