Matched Pair Very Rare Jacob Co. Utah Natural Golden Topaz Fancy Wide Pear Cut

Description: Very rare and beautiful matched pair of Topaz mined from Gem Mountain in Jacob’s Co. Utah. I cut these topaz into perfectly proportioned fancy custom faceted wide pear cuts, which is a blend of a trillion cut, a pear cut, and a round brilliant full cut. I took great care to cut these gemstones as perfect as I possibly could and the results were even better than I had expected!! These gemstones have a good to very good cut grade. Amazing luster and brilliance glisten from within the gems and reflect back to the viewer through the table. Each precious topaz measures 5x5 MM with a depth of 2.5 MM and have a combined weight of 0.815 carats. These topaz are 100% natural and have not been enhanced in any manner. Topaz from this region are prized for their naturally occurring red, orange, yellow, and brown hues, and are rarely heat treated because the naturally coloring is more desirable and more valuable. Faceted gemstones from Topaz Mountain are very rare due to multiple reasons. Most of the topaz mined are extremely small clusters of crystals and contain fissures and large inclusions unsuitable for cutting. The larger clearer crystals hold great specimen value so they are almost always sold as specimens to mineral collectors before gemstone faceted can get them and cut them. I was able to purchase several larger crystals from a mineral collector at a mineral show in Utah and made the controversial choice to turn them into faceted gemstones.
