Third son of François de La Tour3, master writer, geographical engineer and cantor of the city's collegiate church and of Reine Zanar, Quentin de La Tour was born and raised at 57 rue de La Tour4 in the shadow of the church in the district occupied by the canons and the mastery. During his childhood, instead of listening to the teacher, he sketched his classmates and covered his notebooks with sketches4.
