Description: This is an American folk art item. It is an iron work kinetic (pendulum) featuring a fashionable lady from the 19th Century holding a spyglass. She appears to be watching the sea's horizon for a ship. This piece is designed to sit on the edge of a table or on a metal stand. The pendulum is at the base and the figure rocks forward and backward when given a slight nudge. I found this at an estate sale of a collector, but do not know the year it was made. I see similar ones to this selling as “antique” on various auction sites. It weighs 1 Lb 7 Oz and is 20" from top to bottom. Please see detailed photos. Thanks for looking!
