Microworm 1oz Starter Culture Live Fish Food. Great For Fry & Small Fish!

You will receive 1 (ONE) ounce of live microworms. ***PLEASE TAKE YOUR WEATHER IN CONSIDERATION WHEN ORDERING*** *REFUNDS-if for some reason you need a refund, I have no issue sending one but I do NOT refund shipping costs* To start your culture you will need *instant mashed potatoes *water *container of your choice, but I suggest something like a 13Lx8Wx4H **this one is optional but helps to promote faster reproduction & growth. Yeast. A small 3 pack of Fleischmann’s goes a long way. Start by adding enough flakes to cover the bottom of your container, then slowly add water & mix just as if you were making mashed potatoes. You want them to be a light fluffy texture, not too runny & not too thick. Too runny, you will have to change it way sooner/more often & it could kill your microworms. Too thick, micro worms will struggle to eat/grow/reproduce & may die. Push the potatoes down to where they cover the bottom & they’re about .5 inch thick. Add a few pinches of yeast on top. Then add your microworms. Within a week (usually a couple days), you should start to see the worms clinging to the sides of the container. These are the worms you want to harvest, use your finger or a flat plastic knife/spoon/whatever to scrap them off then feed to your fish. Fry LOVE them. They’re a bit small for bigger fish but I still feed them to my adult guppies & adult Cory’s as a snack & they all love them as well. Cory’s love to shift through sand for them. After a while, your mixture will start to get runny from worm waste & you will need to repeat the process, just take a large scoop of the mixture & set it to the side then when your new mixture is ready, add them in. You can save ALL of your mixture & make multiple containers if wanted & then just divide scoops up into the new containers. *Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
