Description: These solenoids are from old PC hard drives. I think they were used to park the heads. There are 3 wires going to the connector. The solenoid has two positions: in and out. The small peg is at about 3.5mm or 5mm in the two positions. It weighs about 0.5 ounces. There are two windings with a common node. Applying +5v to the common point (brown wire) and grounding the yellow or green wires will make solenoid pin go out or in. The winding resistance is about 13 ohms. At 5v the current is about 0.3-0.4 amps.
