This is from the time when Gorham went back to making hand wrought silver in some of their specialized departments with their very best silversmiths. They made three patterns of hand wrought hollowware - Martele', Athenic, and Modernic. Modernic is the rarest of the three. This set is hand wrought with subtle hand hammered surface, with a design of flowing grapes and grapevines. This set includes:1 - Kettle on Stand with burner: Marked #A4656, measures 14" tall x 8 1/2", and weighs 60.38 troy ounces. 1 - Samovar Hot Water Urn with Stand and burner: Measures 15" tall x 11" and weighs 84 troy ounces.
