MONARCH PREWAR MODEL HORSE HIDE LEATHER BOMBER JACKET BUILD

Description: You are now admiring my original pre war Monarch MFG. civilian model Bomber jacket. It comes from a favorite vintage jacket maker of mine. A same as the original but reproduction Monarch Bomber jacket is being offered here as a proposed new jacket build. The 1939/1940 original jacket seen within the descriptive images (I've included a few restoration progress pix in the listing) was restored by me. It is an example of what I can built for you. Let me tell you all about the jacket that I am proposing to build for you! Back in the day this particular model Monarch bomber jacket was referred to as The Baxter. More recently The Fonz jacket. In any event this civilian model jacket's pattern was mirrored by Monarch to manufacture their 1941 mil spec leather flight jacket for the USAA. Notwithstanding, built with Monarch's more roomy final design. Characterized by a large sleeve hole, inset, and rotated sleeves for ease of movement. This jacket utilized Talon's final model grommet Talon zipper and M-39 slider. Quilted rayon lining and horsehide outer shell. Moreover, all done with elegant French seams (two needle stitch work) complete. I have several different colors (dark brown, chocolate brown, russet, or black horse hides available. The horse hide I use for this build was sourced out of Italy. The last photo in the descriptive images is an example of the Italian horse hide I have a available for this same jacket build. The quilted (cotton batting) lining is custom made by me. Created by using a superior rayon that comes out of the UK. The grommet zipper assemblies are sourced out of Japan to which I attach an original M-39 Talon slider. After more than 16 years of collecting, restoring and building these vintage jackets I own or have owned this same original type of Monarch jacket in sizes 36 through 50. All accumulated by me to ultimately give you the absolute most accurate rendition of that original jacket possible. So it is easy enough for me to correctly build an exact same reproduction of an original Monarch Bomber jacket in just about any sized desired. Note, as an upgrade an internal map/pistol pocket can be added. Installed using the same configuration as done by Monarch on their pre War M-422. Please keep in mind that there were mil spec A-2 jackets that pre dated 1939. But Monarch only had one USAA contract that dated 1941 and Monarch utilized this same civilian jacket pattern to create it. Offered here at this price point in sizes 36 through 48.
