Lid opens so you can change the disc, The background behind the dancers also moves and the lights flicker in time with the music music box has gold 6 bells that chime in time with the music as the Nutcracker dancers turn . When you leave the top open it is louder. That is the only sound adjustment. Heavy cherry finish wood box. Comes with 9 volt AC adapter/charge. On/off switch is on the cord. It will play until you cut it off. Excellent working condition. The box has a few dings to the wood, not very noticeable and very good vintage condition if you are local you can pick it up to save on shipping.
