Description: This is a listing for one Nepenthes epiphytica AW Clone 1. N. epiphytica is a recently-discovered pitcher plants that grows alongside N. mapuluensis. It produces large, striped, toilet-bowl-like pitchers that are striped and is quite similar to N. eymae. Upper pitchers have an exaggerated shape and a very narrow lid. Lower pitchers are enlongated and speckled. This plant grows fairly well in intermediate conditions. This clone is a Wistuba clone that was taken as a rooted cutting. This plant has been in my care for 19 months in standard greenhouse conditions. This plant grows fairly well in intermediate conditions. Humidity should be kept at 50% or higher with decent airflow. You are expected to have some experience with growing Nepenthes before you purchase. It's not a hard plant to grow, but its not easy either. The plant shown in the pictures is the exact one you will receive. The cup noodle is for scale. The plant is growing in a 3.5 inch pot in a 50/50 mix of sphagnum moss and perlite. The leaf span is 12 inches from tip to tip. The largest pitcher is 6 inches tall. The image is the exact specimen of what you will receive. Care instructions will be provided with packing. These plants are pest-free and have been growing in my grow tent. My conditions are: 85F days, 70F nights in the summer and 83F days, 63F nights in the winter. Humidity is 65-85%. I keep these under 6500K lights. No international sales either because I also don't have paperwork for export. Please be mindful of your weather.
