Description: NEW 3/16" Norplex Micarta Black Paper Phenolic X Remnant Sheet This is a new Remnant sheet of the Material indicated. Remnant sheets are large enough portions of material to be used for other purposes but were removed from a larger production and therefore are not of standard dimensions and can have slight variability in dimension. The Sheets for sale are all almost exactly 11.5x11.5" in length and width with a 3/16" thickness all the sheets are the virtually the same and have two 3mm holes that are approx 1/4" from each edge in 2 of the corners of the sheet. At the other end of the sheet there are a couple of tabs that extend beyond the indicated dimensions where it was part of the larger plate. This material comes from the Manufacturer Norplex-Micarta in bulk state meaning it is NOT protected from surface marring. Though most of the sheets are very clean there is the possibility that there could be some marring on the surface. I have over 200 sheets of this size available for purchase. Information from Norplex Micarta about the sheet type: This grade is composed of a paper base impregnated with a phenolic resin binder. It has good electric strength properties with fair mechanical strength. Outstanding for use as template material and or backup material. Certifies to Mil-I-24768/12 PBM, /11 PBG and /10 PBE. This cost-effective line of products consists of multiple plies of various papers impregnated with phenolic resins and laminated under heat and pressure to produce a thermoset composite. Both papers and resins can be modified to change the finished properties of the final laminate. These products offer thermal, mechanical isolation, and thermal and electrical insulation properties that meet or exceed those of most thermoplastic materials.
