Description: Description Plumes was developed based on the classic overdrive that has a characteristic midrange, and incorporates plenty of the essence of EQD. The sound maintains the characteristics of that midrange while improving tension and strength. The result is an overdrive with a strong presence that can be heard even in ensembles. The circuit uses a JFET instead of the RC4558 operational amplifier and BJT transistor buffer used in the original. As a result, we were able to raise the input impedance to nearly 10 megaohms, successfully reducing noise and achieving even higher frequency resonance. Plumes' sound is clearer and will push your tube amp harder. In addition to Volume, Gain, and Tone controls, three clipping modes can be selected. Mode 1 is symmetrical for LEDs and provides the strongest distortion in Plumes. When used with a clean amp, it sounds like a classic British amp. Mode2 is a clean booster. The signal goes directly to the op amp without clipping. Mode 3 is distortion using an asymmetrical silicon diode. Plumes is the closest thing to screamer distortion, but it has a larger output and much clearer sound than the original. This model is equipped with flexi switching function.
