The Old Boy pipe lighters have changed very little since Corona first released them back in the 1940’s, with much of its aesthetics proudly based on the early liquid fuel lighters. By opening the cap at the top of the lighter, the gas is released and a quick flick of the flint wheel and you have a stable, soft flame. Closing the snuffer/cap turns off the gas and extinguishes the flame. Unlike cigarette lighters, these pipe models feature a 90 degree angled flames, reducing the risk of burning the rim of your pipe and of course your thumb. All IM Corona lighters come boxed, with a soft pouch and 2 year warranty. They can be repaired at the UK Lighter Centre or other national repair centres around the world. From the fuel tank, to flint wheel and snuffer spring, all spare parts are made to be serviceable and replaced. Which is what has helped with lighter become acclaimed with pipe smokers, as one of the most reliable around. Uses standard Butane gas purchased from Hardware shops and supermakets. Regular flints (Zippo, Ronson or Clipper) are needed for this lighter and are inserted on the top of the lighter. Comes boxed with a 2 year warranty*.
