While the core titular heroes and core X-Men characters remain at the "top of the list," second-tier mutants --- including X-23, Gambit, Cable and DOMINO -- introduced across the three Fox film franchises have emerged as the collectable favorites of fans and speculators. While his name is not among the few mentioned above, SHATTERSTAR -- the mutant son of Longshot and Dazzler raised on the alien Mojoworld -- was one of the relatively "deep-cut" X-Men-related characters introduced in Fox's Deadpool 2 (2018). Played by actor Lewis Tan, Shatterstar enjoyed a short but hilarious introduction in the film, only to then be killed with the rest of the newly-formed X-Force team shortly thereafter. However, unlike most of his one-time comrades from the Deadpool sequel, Tan's Shatterstar was revealed to be alive and well inside the Marvel Cinematic Universe during the just-released Deadpool & Wolverine trailer. Shatterstar's FIRST FULL APPEARANCE happened way back in 1991, one month after Deadpool himself first appeared, in The New Mutants #99 (1991). The Mojoworld born Mutant's FIRST CAMEO APPEARANCE however, came the summer before, in THE NEW MUTANTS ANNUAL #6 (1990). Interestingly, the cameo didn't happen in-story, but in a pin-up picture created by Rob Liefeld included at the end of the Annual.
