We have very reasonable shipping terms and combine orders to save money (for customers) on shipping costs. We also maintain customer friendly return/refund/exchange policies. Product Description: This item for sale is one set of new-old-stock 3T Forma SL Ergo Power Due handlebars (46 cm) with a relatively common stem clamp size of 26.0 mm (please note that 3T measures their bars from outside edge to outside edge with respect to their width...so a center-to-center equivalent measurement would be in the 44 cm range). Based on some catalog research these bars appear to be a mid 90's offering from 3T's Racing Team Services product line and one step below 3T's top-end (during this period) PRIMA 220's. They were made in Italy and probably among the last bars 3T made in their European facilities (before moving production offshore). We should also note the tubing used to make these bars is a treated aluminum alloy tubing (AL 7075 T6) and their catalog weight is 250 grams...although our postal scale indicates these bars weigh a little more...closer to 260 grams (probably because we are weighing a larger size then that which is listed in the 3T catalog). They have anatomic bends and the "bulge" center section design where standard road bar (23.8 mm) tubing is built-up/reinforced at the center to achieve the slightly larger diameter. This is done to accomodate a road stem clamp (26.0 mm) and to also improve the strength/stiffness around the stem clamp, as this is the high stress point of any drop bars. We should also mention these bars are double grooved to handle all forms of vintage aero brake levers and modern dual control brake/shifter levers. Even though a slightly newer model bar, relative to some of our other 3T offerings, they are still a fairly unique offering in that their design features include traditional clamp sizing (with the not so traditional anatomic bends) and newer/lighter heat treated aluminim alloy tubing...yet they were still made in one of the old 3T factories in Europe. This is not to say these bars are better than newer 3T production bars made offshore, but we've had a number of customers want us to confirm place of origin for certain vintage projects (preferring European-made parts...even if not quite period correct...over newer parts made elsewhere). Additionally, for those that have read some of our listing descriptions concerning ultra light bars (and we tend to define them as bars in the 200 gram range), then you know we hesitate to recommend such ultra light bars for the heavier/stronger rider that generates a lot of torque around the stem clamp area (as this is generally considered the area most susceptible to failure). This is not a knock against the design or manufacturing of lighter bars, but more just a general observation that lighter bars mean thinner walled tubing, which potentially results in less strength and durability over time...and this is a relative comparison to other bars that weigh more because they use thicker walled tubing. We realize that building up the center section of bars with a larger diameter tube and using butted or tapered tubes can help achieve better strength and durability, but this tubing design is often used on ultra light and heavier bars...so the relative comparision would still appear to be appropriate. Having said all of this, our point is that with these bars weighing in at around 260 grams and with the good quality heat treated aluminum alloy tubing used to make them, we see them as a very well thought out offering...from design to production. They are relatively light, but should still hold up well under fairly significant duress...and just as 3T has included them as part of their Racing Team Services product line...we too view them as a competition-level offering with a number of different applications. Consistent with our other 3T handlebar offerings (and in an attempt to further assist with proper fit), we have taken some additional (center-to-center) measurements and noted a reach of 76 mm and a drop of 144 mm (and please refer to our notes below that specify our measurement techniques...in the event someone wants to replicate our approach for comparative purposes). In terms of condition, these bars are new and unused and show no signs of ever having been clamped to a stem. A note about our "reach" and "drop" measurements... A number of customers have asked about our handlebar measurement techniques, so we thought it was probably appropriate to better define how we go about measuring the handlebars we offer for sale. The drop...we "stand the bars up" so the only contact point with the table top is the flattened drop area near the bar ends (although we typically have to hold the bars in this position so they do not fall over). From this position, with the drop section of the bars resting on the table top, we measure the vertical distance from the table top to the bottom edge of the bar tubing at the stem clamp area. This provides our version of a center-to-center measurement for the drop. The reach...keeping the bars in the upright position on the table (as noted above), we push them against the wall facing us, so the outermost section of the bar bend (i.e., the area around where the shifter/brake levers are mounted) is touching the wall. From this position, we measure the horizontal distance from the wall to the front of the stem clamp area. This provides our version of a center-to-center measurement for the reach. Note to international customers regarding shipping... We apologize to those that feel some of our international shipping charges are too high. We only charge actual shipping rates, but once an order exceeds a certain amount, we hesitate to use the least expensive US Postal Services First Class International service. We feel this way, because this service is not trackable or insurable...so more risk of loss. We prefer the US Postal Services Priority Mail International service for more expensive orders, because this service is trackable at USPS.com and insurable...so less risk of loss. Unfortunately, this service is more expensive, especially for smaller/lighter packages, relative to the First Class International service. We are sorry about these higher shipping costs, but hopefully our notes help to explain why this is the case. Note to international customers regarding customs... We also apologize to those that feel their country import taxes, duties and brokerage fees are excessive. As a small US business, we are required by customs' laws to declare each order as a retail sale. Additionally, the declared order value must be equal to total store purchases and/or winning auction bids (less any shipping costs, as these are not considered in the declared value). As a result, each customer will be responsible for paying his/her own country taxes, duties and brokerage fees, which will be collected upon delivery. Again, we apologize for these additional costs, but we cannot afford the penalties and fines that come with breaking customs' laws...so we have to strictly abide by them.
