No additional screws or washers are included with this set. This weight and spring set is the most common size and mass used on Victor Victrolas, Victor Talking Machines and many HMV machines. It is the only style that was used after about 1915.These may also work with some earlier machines prior to 1915 but please send me a message BEFORE you buy them and let me know the exact model and serial number of your Victrola. Please include the SERIAL NUMBER and MODEL NUMBER of your Victor Victrola or Talking Machine when writing me for help. These springs and weights are NOT suitable for most Victor/HMV motors made before 1909. Such machines require springs that are longer, wider, and thicker, as well as weights that look different (i.e. are balanced differently) and have greater mass. So check your parts BEFORE you buy. Please do not use the springs in this listing if your motor requires a different type - they will not work properly and will either snap quickly or simply not work properly. Measure your screws, springs/governor and if you are in doubt ask for help. If you require different hardware or larger springs do not buy those listed here but please contact me through eBay and tell me the Model and Manufacture date of your Talking Machine, Victrola or HMV Gramophone. If you do not have a Victor or HMV machine please do not buy these unless you have verified that the size will work for your application. Springs and weights are NOT universal. About Governor Springs - Please Read to Avoid Problems Governor springs and weights should be replaced as complete matching sets. This is why three are included for your Victor/HMV. Even if you only have one broken spring or one missing weight and insist that you need just one set, you should replace all three at the same time. The mechanical characteristics (e.g. strength/tension/mass) of original springs/weights will vary. New springs are stronger and will necessarily have greater tension than an original that has been repetitively flexed for 90 to 100 years. New weights may vary slightly compared to old ones. Old and new springs will likely have slight dimensional variations. Hence, mixing new and old governor weights and springs will lead to vibration, motor noise, and unnecessary wear of the governor bearings. Take your time and do the work correctly. All of these components are manufactured in my shop using dedicated equipment/tooling and fixtures that I designed. I have other tooling for different balance spring sizes available, so feel free to inquire and be sure to specify the exact size you need. I have chosen to make springs using only the very highest quality tempered blue spring steel available. All of this material is tempered, slit and then polished at a US based factory to my specifications. Coupled with the die sets and high precision shears and punches, I can provide you with virtually burr-free parts that are the most durable, consistent and accurately made of their type. This style weight is 99.99% LEAD FREE just as the Victor parts were during the same era. These are precision cast parts that are carefully machined. (Other sellers and dealers put you at risk by not disclosing the fact that their products are made primarily from lead which is toxic. Avoid such parts at all cost when you can.) I guarantee that the weights and springs I am providing are of the highest quality. Simple components like these are among the most critical when it comes to reliable, noise-free, and vibration-free operation of a motor. Don't gamble with inferior parts.
