Description: This marvelous volume contains all issues of The New Yorker from November 7 though December 26, 1959 (Volume 35, part 5). Ex-library volume in a typical maroon buckram binding. All issues are present with covers. I have not checked every single page, but believe it is fully complete. The sides of the bound volume have library stamps (Abilene Public Library - see photos) and the first cover of the first issue in the volume is stamped “WITHDRAWN,” as is the inside first page. All other covers appear to be clear of stamps, but have the typical vertical fold from their original mailing. These are the extra-thick year-end/Christmas issues, filled with all the expected cartoons, articles, casuals, theater and movie reviews, and of course the many many mid-century modern “Christmas gift idea” ads. The binding shows light wear, but is tight with no cracks or loose pages. Some issues show signs of having been folded when originally mailed (again, see pictures.)
