Description: I don't know what it is with ALL these Drake transmitters! When i bench test them they pretty much ALL do the same thing. The relay will click in tune position (when a 1/4" shorting plug is inserted in the key jack), and the damn thing just sits there and looks at me! Nothing else! No signs of transmitting! Maybe when tested alone with no receiver hooked up, you need a shorting plug or jumper someplace, but it seems to be a well kept secret if this is the case! 6JB6's test about 80% emission. This one lights up, voltages are present from my rebuilt AC-3 (will be sold later after my Drake 4 stuff has been tested and up for sale.) and that's it! BTW, it has extra 160M and 28.0 band segment crystals. Cosmetically, it's in nice condition showing minor wear. The cabinet top is a repaint with texture paint that doesn't quite match the original bottom "pebble" finish. Manual copy included.
