Description: Noah Georgeson is perhaps best known as a producer for Joanna Newsom, Devendra Banhart, and Bert Jansch, though he is also a member of Banhart's touring band. Find Shelter was recorded in San Francisco and Nevada City between 1999 and 2003. From the Autumn 1999 until Spring 2004, Georgeson lived in the first-floor apartment in a Victorian house on Castro Street in San Francisco. At first, he lived alone in a room that was about the right size for an infant, and had once been a nursery. After a while, he moved into the room down the hall from the nursery, which he shared with his girlfriend Joanna and her harp. Among the waves of their lives in this room, Joanna wrote most of the songs that ended up on her first album, and Georgeson wrote the songs included here.
