Description: Description This sale is for this unframed pencil signed etching by British artist Norman Wilkinson (1878-1971) .purchased from an estate auction .It is titled" Fishing out the tail" Our research tells the artist is known for his Salmon and trout fishing scenes as well as Nautical scenes ,I don't sell and deal much in the art field .I believe this what they call a drypoint etching. It appears to be an original piece of his work and has a pencil signed title "Fishing out the tail"(under the matt and is stamped "Made in England" near the bottom edge . it looks in very good clean condition for the most part .It has some minor signs storage .I see some spotting on the extra tall matt near the base .The edge of the matt near the etching has a light corner crease .I am not sure what type of paper it is etched on .It seems rather thin a good quality. The full matt sheet measures aprox 22 tall and 16" across .The etching itself is aprox 8" tall by 9 1/2.Add this unique scarce item to your collection or home decor.Feel free to email questions.Thanks for looking.
