Description: Norwich-Norfolk half penny Conder token, 1792, D&H # 28. The obverse shows a crest or coat of arms that features a large shield, with a crown at the top, a mace to the left and a sword to the right. On the shield is a castle with three towers or turrets, and a lion below it. Around the border is "SUCCESS TO THE CITY OF NORWICH", and two crossed branches. The reverse shows a store front in a circle. Above that is "NORWICH HALF PENNY", and below it is the date, 1792. The lettered edge shows " PAYABLE AT THE SHOP OF DUNHAM & YALLOP GOLDSMITHS". Attractive medium to dark brown color on both sides, and nice surfaces on both sides.
