Description: 1960's New Old Stock/Unused Durkee's King Size Country Style Bread Clear Plastic Bread Bags Kerosene Lamp Logo Decorated 9" x 20.5" Here is a really unusual find fit for framing. If you are a collector of Cortland or Homer, NY memorabilia, bakery collectibles or kerosene lamps, these are a real treasure. They came out if an estate less than 30 miles from Cortland and are new old stock, never had bread in them. We have a few of them, bid is per bag. Photos show one picked at random, photographed both laying on white paper and with paper slid inside. Note that there is no UPC bar code, and a white area to stamp the price at the store. All are in clean excellent new condition with varying amounts of light creases from many years in storage. Durkee's was a family run business started in Homer, NY in 1931 and moved to Cortland in 1960. At one point it was the 3rd largest bakery in the United States. In 1971 or 1972, it was sold to a company in the midwest and was abruptly closed, never to re-open. These bags show the Cortland address, so it's safe to say the date of these is between 1960 and 1970.
