Description: Nice Old Antique Southern Appalachian Primitive Wood Dough Bowl. This piece is from the Southern Appalachian region. Not sure what type of wood it is, you can see a tight grain pattern all over the bottom. It is fairly heavy and you will note there are darker colors to two edges, making my guess walnut. It weighs 2 pounds, 12 ounces. There are remnants of what appears to be old milk paint. It measures approximately inches tall, and is not completely round, at 14.25" x 15.5." Smooth from years of use. There is an age crack (pictured) that does not separate or move when pushed--the inside of the crack is smooth. Ships via USPS ground. From a pet and smoke free home.
