' appear as part of the mark, the piece was made before 1906. After that year, the embossed mark became 'Monmouth Western Stoneware', This pitcher will be a very nice addition to a collection. There is an impressed 36 on the bottom of the pitcher as well. You need to tip the pitcher just right so the glare shows the number.
