The image area measures 36.2 x 21.7 cm [14¼" x 8½"]. Topography is drawn in relief and longitude is measured from London. There are two distance scales, calibrated in British Miles and Russian Wersts. The coverage area extends from the Frozen Ocean to the Black Sea, including Russian Lapland, Crimea, Archangel, Volga River, Smolensk, Gulf of Finland, Lake Ladoga, White Sea, Dnieper River, Astrakhan, Riga, Nizhny Novgorod, Baltic Sea, Ukraine, Kremenchuk, Moscow, and St. Petersburg. The map is titled in a cartouche in the lower right corner: "Muscovy or Russia in Europe." Condition: This map is in very good condition, with no marks, rips, or tears. It is uncolored, as issued, and it is blank on the back, with no printing on the reverse side. A few details along the left edge and the publisher's credit line in the lower margin are very faint.
