Description: Original bridge and tailpiece assembly from my Vintage circa 1960’s Gibson EB-3 bass guitar; the "Mute Bridge" or "Bar Bridge" type, used in the 1960s. This built-in mute mechanism was a distinctive feature of some Gibson basses of this era. This assembly comes complete with original screws. The last picture shows the assembly as it was on the original bass… All parts were working perfectly before they were professionally removed. Some background… I purchased this bass approximately 30 years ago… The original owner hadn't played it in over 10 years when I purchased it, and I only played it approx. 30 times the most in the decades since, The tone was incredibly deep and beautiful, not at all muddy, and I used it mostly for recording. So what you have here are parts that have relatively very little use for a nearly 60 year old instrument. My beautiful EB-3 suffered an accident and the neck/headstock cracked, so I'm now passing on it's vintage parts that are still usable. I hope these parts of what was once a lovely instrument help you to restore a bass you will love to play, as this EB-3 was well loved and cherished..
