This is a fantastic set of storyboards featuring two characters from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. A storyboard is a graphic organizer that consists of illustrations or images displayed in sequence for the purpose of pre-visualizing a motion picture, animated feature film or cartoon short. This is mainly used for planning the production. Things like type of camera shot, angle and blocking of characters are decided. These storyboards are from the hand of Jorgen Klubien. Klubien is an animation artist and writer best known for his work on Disney films, like The Lion King (1994), A Bug’s Life (1998), Cars (2006) and Frankenweenie (2012). The board was rendered in pen and marker on 8.5″ x 11″ paper. The artwork condition is Fine with mild edge wear.Essential in the process of creating effective storytelling for the final product, Jorgen Klubien’s impact on the narrative can’t be understated, and his impact on the film is showcased in his remarkable storyboards.The Nightmare Before Christmas originated in a poem written by Tim Burton in 1982, while he was working as an animator at Walt Disney Feature Animation. Production started in July 1991 in San Francisco; Disney released the film through its Touchstone Pictures banner because the studio believed the film would be “too dark and scary for kids”.
