Description: Original Soviet medal and document for "Victory over Germany" from my own collection awarded in 1945. The USSR Medal “For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945” was awarded to: - all military personnel and civilian personnel who took direct part in the ranks of the Space Force, Navy and NKVD on the fronts of the Patriotic War or who ensured victory through their work in military districts ; - all military personnel and civilian staff members who served during the Great Patriotic War in the ranks of the active Red Army, Navy and NKVD troops, but left them due to injury, illness or injury, also transferred by decision of state and party organizations to another work outside the army.The medal “For Victory over Germany” was made of brass in the shape of a circle with a diameter of 32 mm. On the obverse is a profile image of Stalin I.V. In the upper part of the medal along the circumference there is the inscription “OUR CAUSE IS RIGHT”, in the lower part along the circumference there is the inscription “WE WON”. On the reverse there are inscriptions: along the circumference - “FOR VICTORY OVER GERMANY”, in the center - “IN THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR 1941-1945”, in the lower part - a five-pointed star.The pentagonal block is covered with a moire “St. George” ribbon 24 mm wide. The tape has 5 longitudinal alternating stripes of equal width - 3 black and 2 orange. The edges of the ribbon are bordered by narrow orange stripes.
