Description: This Orvis All Rounder is an American classic, from back in the day when tackle companies were trying to create the perfect all-in-one fly rod. The 2-piece rod is 8 ft 3 inches long 4 pieces and a 7 weight. The overall condition is very good, and the cork luck good too.It comes in its original vintage Orvis-branded aluminum travel tube. The butt-end has a cool stamped-metal ID (see photo); they don't make 'em like that anymore. The mark 1083 identifies the month that this particular All Rounder was built: October 1983. Thanks to Orvis rod enthusiast and information. As he wrote to me, "Amazingly, Orvis fitted all their graphite rod models with 'date-specific' butt caps throughout the 1980s - indeed they don't make 'em like that anymore."
