Description: This is the spare spool only- that attaches to the reel and holds line and backing so you can easily change out line type. I do not own Orvis reels but have been advised on forums that it's for Madison reels. Madison 11 disc spool. Note there is no cast cog gear on the back as this version used a separate, anti-reverse gear cog that sat underneath the spool on the spindle. The raised slots on the ring on the centre of the spool engaged the drag cog. Made in the old KP Morritt factory in Falmouth, Cornwall.
