Keep in mind that these do need a route on the top of your guitar, although it can be more shallow than a Humbucker style .. another option, if you have a flat top with no routes is :: mark where each bottom screw meets your body and drill a short hole to accommodate each screw and, if possible, make sure the holes are just deep enough to have the screw touch the wood .. this is called wood coupling .... you should support the pickups underneath with some dense foam or use dowels at the exact right length between the bottom of the pickup and the bottom of the route .. always do your research on what you'll need to do in order to install any pickup, especially if you are changing pickup type .. P-90's are not exactly the same size as a Humbucker When you install, be sure and remove the protective plastic film that covers these. ....
