These are vintage recordings, originally released on LPs #14 and SP6 by the long-gone Railroad Record Club of Hawkins, Wisconsin from the 1950s to the 1970s. They have been digitally remastered using the best equipment and techniques. This CD comes with the original liner notes for each LP. The disc features vintage audio recordings of Pacific Electric interurbans and Milwaukee Road electric freight in the Northwest. Record #14: Pacific Electric. Side One is jam-packed with trackside recordings-- Watts Locals, San Pedro Limiteds, and the Downtown Express. Tortured brakes, air whistles, motor hum and the ring of worn gears.
