Description: Your source for vintage Ruth Gibbs dollsHere is a charming PAIR of very large, very pretty and hard to find, 12 inch tall, signed: RUTH GIBBS, (in block letters on the back of their shoulders) pink tint, china shoulderhead dolls by Ruth Gibbs, Flemington, N.J., circa 1940s, and designed by Herbert Johnson. These absolutely delightful and near mint condition ladies are wearing matching, original floral printed gowns with long fitted sleeves, full skirts, ruffled shawls original long chemises with ruffles and long ruffled petticoats. They both have cloth bodies with pink tint, china limbs and wonderful molded and painted (on one) gold necklaces and black, low heeled slippers with gold bows. Both have lovely, molded features with large, blue painted eyes, long eyelashes, rosy cheeks, slightly parted lips and pretty, brown and blonde curly, painted hair. What a terrific pair of this famous classic family of "Godey's Ladies" or "Little Women" dolls produced by an American manufacturer during the World War II era. They have no damages, no repairs, no holes or tears or fading and no odors as they are from a smoke free home. Other Ruth Gibbs dolls are not included.
