The optical drive + front expansion bays are behind a hinged cover on this case. The bottom USB port on the case does not work. Unfortunately I don’t have a way of fixing this since iBuyPower no longer makes this case, and thus I can’t get the little board separately. With the front expansion bays, though, you could add a USB port hub that fits in one of the bays. Alternately, there are many options for external hubs that just plug into one of the USB ports. The ones that have their own power supplies will usually handle more devices than ones that do not. The fans have Molex connectors, so there is no speed feedback or control by the motherboard: They are just on at full blast when the computer is running. They do turn off in sleep/standby modes. The fans’ red LEDs are not separately controlled. They are barely audible, and also, the CPU fan is pretty quiet as well. I left the CPU fan speed curve on the default settings. Should you want/need to reinstall Windows, just say “I don’t have a product key” and as soon as the computer connects to the internet, Windows will be activated according to the motherboard’s serial number. A Windows reinstall USB stick will be included for free.
