Description: This "mini-head" amp is built on the well-known 6505 series of high-gain amplifiers, and a small version of the Invective 120. It has switchable clean and lead channels. The Lead channel is footswitchable and has Tight, Gate, and Boost functions. The Tight function function reduces the gain a bit and alters the EQ of the Lead channel, mimicking the original Invective 120 head, creating a more articulate and full sounding high gain option. It helps retain clarity in fast picking when gain is high. The noise gate is very helpful also with high gain settings. The amp is switchable from 20 watts to 5 watts or 1 watt output. It also has a direct (silent) recording feature, what Peavey calls Microphone Simulated Direct Interface (MSDI), and has XLR and USB outputs. This amp is geared for a modern metal sound but the clean channel sounds great also and is a great pedal platform. It's been used only for home recording and never on the road.
