Everything functions as it should, the chair drops all the way to the floor, as well as seat lift, recline, etc. TRAVEL: We had this in a Town & Country van with a Harmar swing away lift, then in a Honda Odyssey with the Bruno slide out lift. You don’t need a full conversion van to fit this chair!!! SEATING: This chair fit our son from 3 years old to 7. It goes up to 125 pounds, but you would need a larger seat if your child is 7 ish or older and average size. BATTERIES: about 2 years old factory Permobil replacements, holding a great charge. QUALITY: This chair has worked amazing, never left him stranded. We ordered another Permobil product because we liked it so much!
