Description: PICASSO Poster « Carnet de Californie » « 25 lithographies en couleur » Size : 17 1/8 x 23 7/8 inches ( 43,5 x 60 cm) This poster was produced for the exhibition of the “Carnet de la Californie”, a sketchbook drawing during the middle 1950's and subsequently made available by Picasso for publication as lithographs. The 25 colors lithograph were printed in Paris in 1959 by Mourlot Frères and issued in a sketchbook-style portfolio entitled "Carnet de la Californie", published by Editions Cercle d'Art. The sketchbook's theme is centered on Picasso's own studio. Pablo Picasso created the original drawings with Jacqueline in his house La Californie (Cannes), Picasso transformed a large room on the ground floor into his workshop, which became the subject of many of his works.
