Description: This is a Pleasant Company American Girl of Today (Just Like You) #8 doll. She was one of the original 20 versions of this line of dolls that Pleasant Company released in 1985. The dolls had one of three face molds Classic, Asian, Addy; straight hair with pie bangs in black, dark brown, light brown, blonde and red or long textured black hair: and five eye colors blue, grey, light brown, dark brown and green. This doll has the fair skin, auburn red hair and green eyes and she has the classic face mold. Her body is clean. The tan muslin has a light area by one shoulder, but it is not a stain just old fabric aging. She has tight limbs and holds a pose. There are no stains, marks or shines. Her hair is thick, shiny and has a nice swing to it. She comes in her Red Vinyl Meet outfit which includes the black top, red vinyl jumper, patterned tights, black lace up boots and a plaid scrunchie. I have included the hat that came with the accessories but none of the rest of the accessories. Note: There are very few of these red vinyl jumpers around. Time has caused creases, and flaking of the material. I store this dress in a conservation box. The doll will come dress in the rest of the clothes and the jumper will be protected in an envelope. I have a doll in my collection that is wearing this outfit on display. It has not flaked because children are not playing with it. I wouldn't recommend this outfit for children to play with. If you are buying this for a child to play with, let me know and I will include another outfit for free.
