Uniforms are not my area of expertise (I collected medals when living in Japan) but I often received uniform related items when I purchased medals. This shoulder board came with a lot of medals that dated from WW1 to the 1950s I purchased while living in Japan. I'm not sure exactly what it represents, but although this came mostly with pre WW2 items, this appears to be a post war insignia of some type to me. A great addition to any military collection.
