Description: Poster for The Paris Theatre Revue 1980 Sydney Australia This is an extremely rare poster as after extensive searching the only other copy located is in the National Library of Australia's collection (and is in a comparable condition to this example). This is an important survivor as it advertises a revue from October 1980, and the Building, which was designed by Walter Burley Griffin (The Architect of Australia's National City, Canberra) was demolished a year later in 1981.It is also important as in 1978 Sydney's First Gay Film Festival was held there and this spawned the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras which continues to this day.
