Description: The Holy Bible. Published by H.B. Graves, Rochester, N.Y. Latest date on copyright page is 1882. Illustrated. Bible is in good condition for its age. Leather is worn, rubbed, chipped with minor loss at top of spine, etc. 3” split in leather at edge of spine to hinge. Clasps are attached and still work. Internally, all pages appear present, attached and not torn (with the exception of the family portrait pages which have closed tears (and a small chip missing) that starts at the top of the pages and runs a few inches through the word portraits). Pages concerning marriages, births, and deaths filled out for McCarthy family. Can see binding between third blank page and presentation page but pages are still attached. Some discoloration, most notably to pastedowns and endpapers. Some soiling. The hinges between the pastedowns and free endpapers appear to have been reinforced but I believe this was original to the Bible. Please see pictures and judge condition for yourself. Still a pretty nice example for its age of a beautiful Bible. Please ask questions or for more pictures before bidding/buying so you can assess condition for yourself.
