Description: Awesome piece of Mardi Gras history! This is a very rare and amazing invitation to the 1891 Mystick Krewe of Comus ball. In the form of a snake winding around the invitation, it opens to colorful imagery on the inside. It was given along with a matching enamel snake pin or favor - see my related Ebay auction for the pin. Oversized, it measures approximately 14.25x6" when folded, 14.25"x12" when open.It does have some old repairs done with tape to splits at the center fold and along the right hand side. Insurance is optional but highly recommended!I do offer combined shipping. Please wait to pay until you receive a combined invoice. Free local pickup is available in the uptown New Orleans area.
