Description: A rare pair of English 18th century hand painted Battersea enamel whiskey and brandy decanter labels. These are in exceptional condition for decanter labels of this age with the only damage being hairlines, 1/16" enamel loss at the Brandy label hole, and minor enamel wear at some edges (all pictured), all of which serve to authenticate these items more than detract from their value and beauty. The brass chains are exceptionally intricate with 3 dimensional dense chain links. Provenance: obtained from the collection of a longtime Beacon Hill, Boston antique dealer and collector of 17th century thru early 19th century antiques. Dimensions are 5" high including chain x 3" wide. Label without the chain is 2 1/8" high. *Seller has researched the authenticity of this item as described and believes it to be accurate.
