Description: This is the 1939 Lawrence College Yearbook. This school, now known as Lawrence University, is in Appleton, Wisconsin. This is a quite instructive time capsule of the late '30s leading up to WW II. One can only wonder how many of the students served and possibly perished in the war effort. The embossed cover is super nice. This has a cartoon by popular cartoonist Carl Ed who drew the Harold Teen strip. There is some very interesting advertising in the very back. The pages are in excellent condition.
