Description: Description: A superb super rare Vintage British King Edward VIII Coronation crystal cut Glass Beer Mug in very good condition. Edward's coronation was planned for the 12th of May 1937, however he abdicated on the 11th of December 1936. He subsequently became the Duke of Windsor. This splendidly cut mug was cut in 1936 prior to his abdication. The workmanship is wonderful. Grey cutting by a master glass cutter -- the top edge in lovely script "Edward VIII Coronation 1937." The master cutter showed his skills in producing 2 flags -- the Union Jack and Edward the VIII's Coat of Arms with harp and lions -- quite spectacular. The handle is applied. Quite possibly a one of a kind item. A superb addition to your collections! Condition: Excellent condition with no troubles noted. Dimensions: Height is 4 inches; Diameter is 3 inches. Date: 1936.
