American Gentleman Shoe was a line of men’s shoes manufactured by Hamilton-Brown. The Unfug Mercantile was established in 1879 in Walsenburg, Colorado after the Unfug family immigrated from Germany to St.Louis and moved west. Records show Unfug mercantile operating from 1879-1894, which dates this piece. Great piece advertising and history all in one.
