Description: Rare, antique and unusual Italian wood, gesso and goldleaf valet butler stand from circa 1920s (estimated...could be 1930s...). Lovely old piece that is quite rare. Have never seen one like this before...and I've seen a lot of antiques in my life!! Crafted from all wood and the stand is attached to the valet with 2 wooden screws and 2 wooden nuts. (Please see picture of bottom). Thid piece measures 42 inches tall by 18.5 inches wide and 13 inches deep. There is some paint loss and some gesso loss which is customary for a piece that's almost 100 years old. Had a MADE IN ITALY makers mark paper tag on the underneath but only a portion of the tag remains today. Stunning piece, very well kept. I have had it in my personal collection for over 25 years.
