Description: Offering a rare antique patinated bronze Art Nouveau cartel clock. Circa 1890’s. This beautiful French cartel clock features an abundance of Nouveau elements such as flowers, acanthus leaves, curlicues, ocean waves, fruit and lattice. It has a white convex enamel dial with blue Roman numerals and it’s original hang ring. The movement, while it is original to the clock appears unsigned since I see no signature on the brass plate. Possible it may be hidden. Made in France. The clock silhouettes nicely on the wall and is a great size for either home or apartment. Measuring: 20 1/2” Tall, 12 1/2” Wide, Approx. 3 1/4” Deep. The condition is excellent. Only microscopic chipping to the key way and a couple insignificant dings to the back door is all. The patina is wonderful. The clock runs and then stops.
