Description: An extremely rare pair of betrothal / sentimental rings.Dating from the early to mid Victorian period, they're made of superbly woven hair - unlikely to be mourning rings but one lover for the other, to remember each while they're apart - created in the time before phones and even photos! The plaits are so fine - perfectly formed, with real tubular 3d relief, and they're fitted with wonderful, identical cuff connectors in solid 9 carat gold, with some very finely hand engraved decoration all the way round.Dating to around 1860/70, they're approximately sizes 8.5 and 7.25 and cannot be resized. Together they weigh just 1.2 grams, are around 3 mm thick and are in wonderful antique condition, with no loss or damage. All my items are guaranteed 100% as described or your money back, so buy with confidence! What's more, I offer layaway deals so there's no need to let any of my listings slip through your fingers - just ask!
